WALL'S ICE CREAMS

Background

As we all know about walls, ice-cream, but do you know how it was invented?

From From today, 150 years back in London, the capital of the United Kingdom. There was a man named Admin cottrill. He was a butcher. He had a shop in London where he used to sell meat in the market. It was a famous market for meat named James's market. In 1786, a person named Richard Wall used to join the shop of this butcher. Richard became his partner. After 20 years, Richard became the only owner of this shop. Richard Wall cut meat all day and night and works really hard. After some time, his shop became more and more popular because of his good quality of meat. His meat even went to the king's palace in this city because the meat quality was very good. And after some time, he sold his meat to the royal family of the United Kingdom.

Then one day, Richard Walls thought about separating his business all over the area. He took a very huge area on loan and started his meat business over there. But in 1838 he died. After the death of Richard Wall's, his wife and son used to handle his business. His son's name was Thomas Wall. Time runs and 30 years goes now. This business was handled by Richard's sons, which simply means that now it's a family business. And this business was famous all over the city. Other than meat, they make sausages and sell them. UK Queen Victoria bought meat from them as well.

In 1903, they opened a factory for sausages where they sell meat as well. It was a very huge factory that was in the area of 6 Acres. In 1922, this factory was handled by the Lever brothers. These are the brothers who have the Unilever brand in their name. And different products like Lipton tea, surf excel, kannur noodles, close up, life buoy, lux, and sun silk etc. Wall's ice cream is also a part of Unilever. Before controlling this meat factory, these lever brothers made soaps in the UK. One day these 2 brothers think that in summers their sausages sell less, so why not invent a product that has more sales in summers. Then they decide to create an ice-cream in their factory. And from there walls ice-cream starts to be created. And because Richard was the person behind all this, they named ice-cream WALL'S.

In 1945, many tones of ice-cream were created because the business became too popular. In 1959, Wall's doubled capacity by opening a purpose built ice cream factory in Gloucester, England. Where 4 thousand people work. In 1970 there were shops starting open with the name of walls ice-cream where people could buy ice-cream easily. And this is how walls ice-cream was invented.
